The program aims to bridge funding gaps for departments tasked with protecting infrastructure and community safety. Applicants must submit a formal request detailing their specific project needs, a budget summary, and a completed W-9 form to be considered. Scott Wyman, president of the utility company, noted that the grants provide necessary resources for crews operating on the front lines of public safety.
Since its inception in 2013, the initiative has supported 185 projects throughout the state. Interested organizations must ensure their applications are postmarked or emailed by August 3, with successful recipients scheduled for notification by August 31. Detailed submission requirements are available through the company's official online portal.
