The campaign kicks off with a social media video featuring an eagle clutching both a hot dog and a Smirnoff Ice bottle. On August 1, the festivities move to Put-in-Bay, Ohio, where the brand will attempt to set records for the Largest Display of Hot Dogs and the Largest Hot Dog Party. Attendees aged 21 and older can participate in the events, which will include product samples and branded giveaways.
To mark National Hot Dog Day on July 15, the company is releasing 250 limited-edition Doggie Bags, a hot dog-shaped crossbody carrier designed to hold a bottle of Smirnoff Ice. Fergus McCarthy, director of Smirnoff Ice, stated that the initiative aims to tap into American summer rituals with a playful, unexpected approach. The brand plans to distribute the bags through its official Instagram account.
