Virginia Inventor Designs Modular Mulch Containment System

Frustrated by the recurring loss of garden mulch to wind and heavy rain, a Fredericksburg-based inventor has developed a patent-pending kit designed to lock landscaping material in place. The device acts as a shallow, durable barrier that minimizes waste while maintaining a tidy appearance around trees and shrubs.

Virginia Inventor Designs Modular Mulch Containment System

The invention, dubbed The Mulch Ring Kit, features a versatile three-in-one design intended to stabilize ground cover throughout the changing seasons. By creating a physical boundary, the system stops mulch from being swept away, potentially saving homeowners the cost of frequent replenishment. Its modular construction is engineered for straightforward installation, aiming to simplify yard maintenance for amateur gardeners.

A physical prototype of the kit is currently available for inspection. The concept is now being represented by InventHelp, which is actively seeking licensing agreements or manufacturing partnerships. Interested parties can reach the firm at its Pittsburgh headquarters to discuss the commercial viability of the design.
