Throughout the partnership, Berry Aviation aggressively scaled its operations, most notably by launching an unmanned aircraft systems division and broadening its maintenance, repair, and overhaul capabilities. Management also grew the company’s government and cargo fleets while optimizing on-demand cargo logistics. According to Rick Nagel, Managing Partner at Acorn, these initiatives were designed to build a durable platform capable of sustained mission execution.

Acorn Capital Management focused its strategy on accelerating growth within founder-led aerospace and defense firms. By investing in infrastructure and personnel, the firm positioned Berry to operate effectively as a strategic asset for Bristow. KippsDeSanto & Co. served as the exclusive financial advisor for the transaction, with legal counsel provided by McAfee & Taft.
