Founded in 1998, Strategic Land Services has spent over two decades managing critical civil work for electric utilities, including right-of-way clearing, stormwater management, and the construction of structure pads for transmission lines. The firm’s long-standing contracts with Georgia utilities have become increasingly vital as regional power demand rises due to rapid data center development and manufacturing growth.
IMB Partners intends to leverage its experience with utility-focused firms like LaFata Contract Services to help SLS expand its geographic footprint into adjacent states. Lamar Warren, a director at IMB, noted that the firm plans to add crews and organizational depth to the contractor. SLS President Randall Humphrey will remain involved as the company shifts from a founder-led model toward a broader regional infrastructure platform.
