Hennick Humber Hospital adopts Sectra cloud to digitize radiology

The transition to a fully managed software-as-a-service model is designed to reduce the hospital's internal IT burden while enhancing data security and system scalability. By moving to the cloud, clinicians at the North York-based facility gain faster, remote access to imaging studies, a move intended to foster better collaboration between care teams across the Humber River Health network.

Jhanvi Solanki, Vice President of Clinical Programs at Hennick Humber Hospital, noted that the upgrade aligns with the institution’s focus on digital infrastructure to improve diagnostic consistency. For Sectra, the deal marks another expansion in the Canadian market, where Nader Soltani, President of Sectra Canada Inc., emphasized that cloud-based imaging is becoming a standard requirement for meeting modern healthcare demands. The platform will initially support radiology and breast imaging, though its modular design allows for future expansion into additional medical specialties as the organization grows.
