TCS Named Technology Partner for JFK’s New Terminal One

The New Terminal One at John F. Kennedy International Airport has tapped Tata Consultancy Services to build the digital backbone of its upcoming facility. The partnership aims to integrate AI-driven operations and advanced passenger processing systems into the $19 billion redevelopment project, positioning the terminal as a premier global gateway.

TCS Named Technology Partner for JFK’s New Terminal One

TCS will oversee the terminal's entire technology ecosystem, ranging from infrastructure management and cybersecurity to enterprise applications. By deploying its proprietary Cognix and ignio solutions, the firm intends to provide airlines with end-to-end visibility over passenger processing and baggage handling. These digital tools are designed to streamline terminal-wide decision-making while reducing operational costs for carriers.

Jennifer Aument, CEO of The New Terminal One, stated that the collaboration is essential for the project to achieve a 5-star Skytrax rating. Amit Bajaj, President of TCS North America, noted that the facility is being developed as a dynamic consumer ecosystem where real-time retail, hospitality, and operational data converge to meet the demands of modern travelers. This initiative is part of a broader Port Authority effort to transform JFK into a world-class hub through the construction of new terminals and modernized roadway networks.
