The litigation, titled Shahbaz, et al. v. Compex Legal Services, Inc., stems from an unauthorized intrusion into company systems that compromised personally identifiable and protected health information. Under the terms of the settlement, eligible class members may file claims for up to $5,000 in documented losses or receive a flat cash payment estimated between $100 and $200, depending on the final number of valid submissions.

Claimants must file through the official portal at www.CompexCyberIncidentSettlement.com by August 19, 2026. Individuals who prefer to retain their right to sue the company independently must opt out by July 20, 2026. A final approval hearing is scheduled for August 31, 2026, at the Los Angeles Superior Court, where the judge will evaluate the fairness of the payout, legal fees, and representative awards.
