Crave Brothers Farmstead Cheese Secures Triple Win at ACS Competition

Three first-place trophies returned to Waterloo, Wisconsin, this July as the American Cheese Society named Crave Brothers Farmstead Cheese a top performer among more than 1,600 entries. The family-run creamery dominated categories ranging from Italian staples to specialized Hispanic cheeses in a rigorous industry evaluation.

The judging panel, which reviewed products from over 200 creameries across the Americas, awarded top honors to the Wisconsin producer for its Mascarpone, Fresh Mozzarella Bocconcini, and Oaxaca Knot. A third-place finish for their Marinated Fresh Mozzarella Ciliegine rounded out the successful outing at the society’s annual conference.

Roseanne Crave, the company’s sales and marketing manager, attributed the consistency of their fresh cheese program to the dedication of their production team. The creamery processes milk sourced directly from the family’s 2,500-acre dairy operation, where sustainability initiatives—including water recovery and biodigestion—underpin the manufacturing of their specialty cheeses.
