This collaboration integrates the local coffee brand into the daily rhythms of Minnesota’s largest private university. Students and faculty will gain access to the company’s offerings at key campus spots, including The Loft in the Anderson Student Center and the STEAM Café located within the Schoenecker Center. The move aims to replace standard campus beverage options with a premium, locally roasted alternative that supports the academic environment through both sit-down coffeehouse experiences and grab-and-go convenience.
Ben Anderson, President of Dunn Brothers Coffee, noted that the partnership carries sentimental weight, as the brand launched its first location in St. Paul nearly 40 years ago. For the university, the deal serves as a response to student demand for high-quality, craft beverages without the need to leave campus grounds. Steve Griffin, Executive Director of Dining Services at St. Thomas, emphasized that the transition will begin immediately for summer sessions, with full service scaling up as the fall semester approaches.
