Washington’s Lottery has secured a seven-year contract extension with Brightstar Lottery PLC, ensuring the company remains its primary technology provider through June 2036. Under the terms of the agreement, Brightstar Global Solutions will deploy thousands of new hardware units to retailers, including 2,200 GameTouch28 self-service vending machines and 100 compact GameTouch20 models. These units aim to reduce point-of-sale congestion while providing players with interactive 42-inch touch displays. The modernization effort also includes the installation of 3,700 Pro S2 lottery terminals equipped with integrated ticket checkers and digital marketing interfaces.

Beyond physical hardware, Brightstar will upgrade the state’s core gaming infrastructure with its latest central system technology. Washington’s Lottery Director Brian Bennett noted that the collaboration has kept the state at the forefront of the industry for three decades, specifically citing the transition toward cashless and self-service solutions. Scott Gunn, Chief Operating Officer for Brightstar’s North American lottery division, emphasized that the new equipment is designed to drive revenue growth while supporting the state’s educational and public funding initiatives.
