The veteran executive, who brings two decades of experience across banking, auditing, and iGaming, will step into the Chief Financial Officer role in October 2026 to help drive the firm's global expansion.

Svalborn’s background includes senior leadership positions at Nordea Bank and audit work at Ernst & Young, providing a foundation in corporate governance and capital markets. During his time at the Nasdaq-listed Raketech, he managed finance, legal, and investor relations, overseeing a series of cross-border acquisitions that solidified his reputation in the affiliate sector.

Gentoo Media CEO Jonas Warrer expects the new hire to bolster the company's executive team as it pursues long-term growth. The firm, formerly known as GiG Media, rebranded following a 2024 split and now operates platforms including AskGamblers and Time2Play. Svalborn, an Uppsala University graduate, noted he intends to build on the company's existing portfolio to generate shareholder value.
