The partnership marks a significant milestone for both organizations as they look to expand the footprint of the grassroots-focused series. Since its 2022 launch, 'Calling All Heroes' has functioned as a critical platform for underrepresented talent, supported by Blizzard and Raidiant. Following a 2025 season that saw peak concurrent viewership hit 62,000, the 2026 circuit introduces a tiered three-phase structure—moving from an open Swiss regular season to an eight-team playoff—culminating in a championship event with a $40,000 prize pool.
Heather Mumm, founder of Raidiant and executive producer of the series, noted that the integration of Runestone’s data tools provides new avenues to serve their highly engaged player base. For Runestone, the move aligns with their broader mission of providing real-time in-game analytics and broadcast overlays. Michael Schwartz, head of partnerships at Runestone, emphasized that the firm is focused on ensuring talented players receive the visibility they deserve as the market continues to diversify. Live coverage of the 2026 season begins this July on official Overwatch Esports and Raidiant broadcast channels.
