Major manufacturers including Volkswagen, Hyundai, and Stellantis are standardizing production around dedicated platforms like STLA One and E-GMP to achieve greater economies of scale. Passenger cars will remain the primary driver of this assembly volume, acting as the testing ground for new manufacturing innovations such as gigacasting and structural battery integration. North America is expected to maintain a significant market share, bolstered by large-scale investments in localized battery supply chains and the production of high-value electric SUVs and pickups.
