Dr. Klapper will retain his current responsibilities as president of AHN Wexford Hospital while assuming his new role at the 65-bed acute-care facility in Mercer County. This dual-leadership structure aims to streamline patient care across the counties north of Pittsburgh, though both hospitals will continue to operate as distinct entities.
Since joining the network in 2011, Dr. Klapper has served as chair of the AHN Women's Institute and was instrumental in the construction and opening of the Wexford campus. His predecessor, Dr. Christopher C. Clark, will transition his full focus to his existing duties as president of AHN Saint Vincent Hospital in Erie and AHN Westfield Memorial Hospital in New York. Under Dr. Clark’s tenure, the Grove City facility notably expanded its cancer center services and secured certification as a Primary Stroke Center.
