Industrial Defender Targets Balkan OT Security Amid NIS2 Rollout

The move aims to equip regional energy and manufacturing sectors with tools necessary to satisfy tightening NIS2 regulatory compliance mandates.

Industrial Defender Targets Balkan OT Security Amid NIS2 Rollout

The partnership leverages COMPUTER 2000 Bulgaria’s extensive reseller network to distribute Industrial Defender’s platform throughout Bulgaria, Macedonia, Kosovo, Croatia, Serbia, Albania, Romania, Hungary, Poland, and the Czech Republic. By integrating these solutions, regional firms gain access to continuous asset visibility and automated reporting, addressing specific risk management requirements under Article 21 of the NIS2 directive.

Industrial Defender’s technology utilizes both active and passive data collection across Purdue Level 1 protocols, a necessity for industries transitioning toward stricter audit-ready standards. Alex Bagwell, Chief Revenue Officer at Industrial Defender, noted that the collaboration fills a critical void for operators currently lacking specialized OT tools. To support the rollout, the companies plan to host a series of workshops and educational events in Sofia, focusing on technical onboarding and compliance strategies for regional partners.
