Rodents had long plagued the property by chewing through underground irrigation tape to reach water, causing persistent leaks and costly maintenance cycles. Before the adoption of Evolve, the farm struggled with frequent service disruptions that diverted labor away from crop production. The implementation involved a specialized T-Bait Station configuration designed for large-scale agricultural environments, allowing for simplified monitoring and refill management.
SenesTech CEO Michael Edell noted that the site initially showed hundreds, if not thousands, of rodent holes near pump stations and along the property perimeter. As the program progressed, visible activity and feeding at bait stations steadily diminished. The farm owner confirmed that the number of irrigation leaks has dropped significantly, leading to a decision to integrate the fertility-based system into their long-term management strategy. This approach focuses on population control rather than acute toxicity, offering an alternative to traditional rodenticides in water-sensitive agricultural regions.
