AT&T Secures Top Spot in JD Power Small Business Internet Rankings

The latest industry assessment from JD Power evaluated internet service providers based on performance, reliability, billing, and customer support. By securing the lead position, AT&T has distinguished itself from competitors, particularly in how it bridges the gap between wired fiber and wireless 5G services. This dual recognition in both wireless and internet segments serves as a validation of the company's focus on converged networking, a strategy aimed at providing small enterprises with seamless transitions between fixed and mobile connectivity.

For small business owners, the stakes of network downtime are high. AT&T’s approach centers on mitigating these risks through integrated hardware, such as gateways that combine fiber infrastructure with 5G backup. Melissa Arnoldi, executive vice president and general manager of AT&T Business, noted that connectivity is no longer just a utility but the foundational layer for daily operations. The company’s service portfolio, which includes specialized offerings like AT&T Dynamic Defense for cybersecurity and a formal service guarantee, reflects an attempt to simplify the technical burdens often faced by smaller organizations with limited IT resources.
