First lien senior secured debt remains the core of the strategy, accounting for 92.4% of the portfolio, while equity and other securities comprise the remaining 7.6%. The Fund, which operates under the guidance of MSC Adviser I, targets companies with annual revenues typically ranging from $25 million to $500 million, often partnering with private equity sponsors to support leveraged buyouts and growth capital initiatives.

MSC Income Fund deployed $74.4 million in new or increased private loan commitments during the second quarter of 2026. The Houston-based firm funded $62.2 million of these investments, deepening its exposure to senior secured debt across a portfolio that now spans 81 unique companies.
