Stephanie Karafa Joins Transatlantic Underwriters to Lead Southeast Expansion

Karafa arrives at the Marietta-based wholesale provider with a background spanning 18 years, having managed diverse commercial risks ranging from motor truck cargo and garage operations to daycare centers and hospitality venues. At TAU, her primary mandate involves strengthening the firm’s transportation division, where she will provide retail agent partners with access to comprehensive coverage packages including auto liability, physical damage, and cargo.

Colby Waltenburg, President of Transatlantic Underwriters, emphasized that Karafa’s appointment addresses the firm’s need for active, specialized underwriting partners. Her professional history includes earning Top Broker of the Month honors four times and successfully managing Lloyd's transportation programs. Karafa noted that her focus remains on helping agents scale their books of business by delivering more robust, multifaceted risk solutions.
