The winning entries highlighted academic rigor and community engagement, with the funds intended to offset tuition, housing, and textbook costs. Since the initiative launched in 2023, the company has provided $343,500 in financial support to 207 students across 50 municipalities.
Kevin Smith, CEO of Cypress Creek Energy, noted that the program aims to foster talent within the regions where the company maintains its solar and battery storage infrastructure. By incentivizing careers in energy and related technical fields, the firm seeks to establish a connection between its utility-scale assets and local economic growth. The company currently manages over 8.6 GW of energy assets across 24 states and continues to expand its development pipeline.
