The expansion into the Centennial State is managed by Joe Kelly, Tanner, and Garrison Guthrie, who chose Colorado Springs for its robust military community and rapid population growth. The restaurant will operate daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., creating approximately 50 local jobs. To mark the debut, the company is hosting a grand opening ceremony at 9 a.m. with a significant incentive for early arrivals: the first 100 guests in line will receive a free Original Box Combo weekly for a year, while the next 100 will receive the same reward monthly for one year.
Maintaining the brand’s long-standing focus on a limited, high-quality menu, the Colorado Springs location will serve the classic lineup of hand-breaded chicken fingers, crinkle-cut fries, Texas toast, coleslaw, and the proprietary Guthrie's sauce. Tom Carr, President and CEO of Guthrie's Franchising, noted that this opening represents a pivotal chapter for the family business as it continues to scale beyond its Alabama roots. The brand currently operates more than 70 locations across 14 states, with aggressive expansion plans slated throughout 2026.
