Jr. Ranger Competition Awards $5.4 Million to Wildlife Federation

The funds, processed through the charity partner DTCare, mark a significant milestone for the Jr. Ranger program, which has now raised over $12 million since its inception. Colossal, the organization behind the fundraiser, designed the competition to highlight young nature enthusiasts while providing financial support for the National Wildlife Federation’s ongoing efforts to protect American wildlife and connect children with outdoor learning.

As the competition winner, Cami will receive a $20,000 prize, a feature in Ranger Rick magazine, and a wildlife expedition led by Corwin. According to Mary Hagen, CEO of Colossal, the initiative serves a dual purpose: empowering the next generation of environmental leaders while funding practical conservation work. Krista Newberry of the National Wildlife Federation noted that the donations will directly support programs that integrate hands-on education with grassroots advocacy, ensuring that youth engagement remains a central pillar of their conservation mission.
