Cox Enterprises Appoints Henry Jiang to Spearhead Cleantech Expansion

Shereta Williams, executive vice president of Growth Operations, cited Jiang’s dual background in private equity and operational management as the catalyst for the hire. His mandate involves identifying high-growth opportunities and refining the performance of existing assets within the firm’s sustainability portfolio. This includes overseeing ventures like Nexus Circular, which has diverted 30 million pounds of plastic from waste streams, and Cox Farms, currently the largest greenhouse operator in North America.

Jiang’s departure from Republic Services follows a tenure where he oversaw the creation of the Polymer Center and expanded the firm’s Environmental Solutions segment to $1.8 billion. At Cox, he will balance the company’s long-term, family-owned investment philosophy with the need for aggressive, returns-driven growth. His arrival marks a strategic push to deepen the firm's presence in renewable resources and sustainable infrastructure, building on a commitment to clean innovation that began nearly two decades ago.
