The Calgary-based railway’s performance throughout the second quarter of 2026 solidified a trend of sustained growth. By moving 2.8 million metric tonnes domestically, the company surpassed its 2020 record, contributing to a total of 28.4 million metric tonnes transported through the first 48 weeks of the 2025-2026 crop year. This volume represents the highest output since the peak 2020-2021 season.
Operations in the United States mirrored this success, with the company hauling 2.5 million metric tonnes in June. This figure outperformed the previous 2022 monthly record. The second quarter also saw a peak of 7.5 million metric tonnes moved south of the border. With monthly records achieved in five of the first six months of 2026, the railway continues to leverage its 20,000-mile network linking Canada, the United States, and México to meet rising agricultural demand.
