Directed by Keagan Karnes, the film serves as a localized tribute to Las Cruces, New Mexico, where the entire production took place. The story follows Amber, played by McMann, as she fights to save her late father's business, Guzzler's Brewery. Her path crosses with Samuel, a polished marketing consultant portrayed by Moffat, setting off a chain of events that blends professional tension with personal discovery. Beyond the central romance, the cast includes Steven Ogg, Zoe Colletti, and Caroline Kingsley.
Karnes, who chose his hometown as the backdrop for his debut feature, describes the project as a meditation on community and the unconventional ways people forge connections. Vision Films CEO Lise Romanoff noted that Moffat’s background in sketch comedy brings a specific energy to the role, balancing the film’s sentimental themes with sharp humor. Starting July 14, audiences can access the feature on major transactional VOD services, including Apple TV, Amazon, and the emerging platform Creatorwood.
