The certification covers the company's Enterprise Artificial Intelligence Management System, which underpins its AI Force platform, software engineering, IT operations, and business process services. By aligning its internal framework with the ISO standard, HCLTech aims to provide clients with a structured approach to scaling AI while maintaining compliance with evolving regulations, including the EU AI Act.
Avani Desai, CEO of Schellman, noted that for an organization of HCLTech’s scale, the certification signifies the integration of governance into daily business operations rather than mere policy documentation. Vijay Guntur, Chief Technology Officer at HCLTech, added that the move provides independent assurance to partners that the company can balance rapid innovation with the operational rigor required for large-scale enterprise deployments. With 227,000 employees across 60 countries and $14.7 billion in consolidated revenue, HCLTech joins a limited group of global firms to have their AI management processes independently verified.
