Holland America Expands 2027 Norway Fjord Access

Holland America Line is deepening its reach into Norway’s most iconic landscapes for the 2027 season, updating five itineraries aboard the Rotterdam to include stops at Flåm and Hellesylt. The move grants passengers direct access to UNESCO-listed regions, including the Nærøyfjord and the gateway to Geirangerfjord.

The updated schedule features five seven-day cruises, now open for booking. Three of these voyages—departing May 30, June 27, and August 1—will anchor in Oslo, Kristiansand, Sandnes, and Flåm, featuring scenic transit through the Sognefjord and Oslofjord. The remaining two departures on July 25 and August 8 focus on the heart of the fjord country, with calls at Eidfjord, Hellesylt, Ålesund, and Bergen, alongside navigation through the Hardangerfjord and Storfjorden.

Paul Grigsby, vice president of deployment and revenue planning, noted that Northern Europe remains a premier draw for the line's passengers. By integrating these specific ports, the company intends to place travelers closer to natural landmarks like the Flåmsbana Railway and the waterfalls of the Storfjorden region. The 2027 season will see three vessels deployed across the region, with voyages ranging from one week to 21-day expeditions covering Scandinavia, Iceland, Greenland, and the British Isles.
