CurifyLabs Secures $14 Million to Scale 3D-Printed Drug Manufacturing

With $14 million in new Series A funding, Helsinki-based CurifyLabs is betting that 3D printing can modernize the slow, manual world of pharmacy compounding. The round, co-led by Sandwater and HealthCap, provides the capital necessary to accelerate U.S. expansion and ramp up the production of its automated medication systems.

CurifyLabs Secures $14 Million to Scale 3D-Printed Drug Manufacturing

The company’s flagship Compounding System Solution replaces traditional, labor-intensive pharmacy methods with a digital workflow. By integrating proprietary software, GMP-certified excipients, and advanced 3D printers, the system produces tailored dosages with higher consistency and speed. Their latest hardware, the PharmaPrinter Aurum, reportedly compounds medications up to nine times faster than human technicians, a critical leap for pharmacies currently serving thousands of patients daily across 21 U.S. states and Europe.

Beyond technical performance, the investment targets the logistical backbone of the firm. Charlotta Topelius, CEO and founder of CurifyLabs, plans to allocate the funds toward strengthening the supply chain and broadening customer support networks. The technology, which holds ISO 13485 certification and meets FDA 503A/503B standards, is positioning itself as a clinical-grade alternative to manual compounding. Investors, including Tesi and Lifeline Ventures, view this move as a signal that Nordic health-tech firms are increasingly capable of capturing significant market share within the competitive U.S. healthcare landscape.
