He will report to President of Customer and Field Operations Geoff Haydon, tasked with scaling the company’s global channel ecosystem and strengthening ties with hyperscalers and managed service providers.

Lanigan arrives at the Tinton Falls-based firm following leadership roles at SentinelOne, Lacework, Splunk, and HP Software. His history of driving partner-led revenue and expanding cloud ecosystems aligns with Commvault's push for unified resilience in an enterprise market increasingly defined by AI-driven threats. Haydon noted that Lanigan’s background in building high-performing programs is essential for the company's next phase of growth.

The appointment comes as Commvault seeks to deepen its reach among distributors, resellers, and systems integrators. Lanigan stated that his focus will remain on creating new growth opportunities and delivering business outcomes for clients navigating the complexities of the current cyber landscape. By leveraging his expertise in the cybersecurity sector, the company aims to solidify its position as a provider of comprehensive data security and identity resilience.
