With over 25 years of leadership in global technology, David Burton joins Colt Data Centre Services as the new Chief Information Officer. He steps into the role to oversee the firm’s global technology and security teams, tasked with scaling digital platforms for an organization heavily focused on AI-ready infrastructure.

Burton arrives from Global Switch Data Centres, where he functioned as Group Director of Information. His tenure there was defined by a focus on cybersecurity and digital strategy, mirroring the experience Colt DCS seeks to leverage as it expands its footprint across the UK, Europe, and the APAC region. His professional background spans cloud computing, virtualization, and large-scale digital transformation projects.

Quy Nguyen, Acting CEO and Chief Sales Officer, noted that Burton’s appointment aligns with a critical growth phase for the company. The operator currently manages 15 data centers with another 12 sites in development. Burton is expected to integrate his technical expertise into the Executive Leadership Team to reinforce the company’s infrastructure and long-term service delivery for hyperscale clients.
