Hexagon Agility Secures $100 Million Order for Data Center Power Needs

A record-breaking $100 million deal sees Certarus purchasing a fleet of Mobile Pipeline modules from Hexagon Agility to bridge critical energy gaps. As AI-driven data centers outpace traditional utility grid expansion, these portable natural gas systems will provide the high-capacity, flexible power required to keep massive industrial projects operational.

The order, the largest in Hexagon Agility's history, includes a mix of TITAN 450 and the newly released TITAN 510 modules. The 510 model offers a 13% increase in volume over its predecessor, specifically engineered to handle the intense energy demands of hyperscale computing facilities. Certarus plans to deploy these units across North America, where grid interconnection timelines often drag on for four years or longer, leaving developers scrambling for interim energy solutions.

Philipp Schramm, CEO of Hexagon Composites, noted that the collaboration highlights a decade-long focus on addressing infrastructure shortfalls through redeployable technology. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2026, with the bulk of the equipment arriving over the following year. The contract also carries an option for Certarus to purchase an additional $25 million worth of modules by 2028, signaling a long-term expectation that energy infrastructure will continue to lag behind the rapid growth of cloud and artificial intelligence workloads.
