Disneyland Hits One Billion Guest Milestone in Anaheim

Eight-year-old Andres Robles walked through the gates of Disneyland Park on Friday as the resort’s honorary one-billionth guest. The Arizona boy, celebrating his birthday, joined his parents and Disney ambassadors at the Main Street, U.S.A., train station to unveil a sign marking the historic attendance figure.

The ceremony, attended by Mickey and Minnie Mouse, launched a day of VIP experiences for the Robles family, including a private tour of Walt Disney’s personal apartment and early access to the Soarin’ Across America attraction. The milestone arrives as the Anaheim resort approaches the 70th anniversary of its 1955 opening, a tenure that transformed the global theme park industry through Walt Disney’s original vision of immersive, family-centric storytelling.

Disneyland Resort President Jill Estorino described the achievement as a testament to the generations of visitors who have integrated the park into their own family history. Since its inception, the site has expanded from a single attraction into a sprawling complex encompassing two theme parks, three hotels, and the Downtown Disney District. Reflecting on the growth of the resort, Estorino noted that the park remains committed to the founder's ethos that the destination would never be truly complete, continuing to evolve through new technology and creative expansion.
